Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Marwat said action was taken against 7773 motorists during the drive launched by police. He added that action was also underway against bikers not wearing helmets, over-speeding and other traffic violations. The officer said police were also carrying out operations against encroachment to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

Actions taken against 6,24,218 people for traffic rules’ violations July 3, 2021 PESHAWAR: Capital city traffic police have taken action against 6,24,218 people for violation of traffic rules during the last six months. Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Marwat told a press conference on Friday that a total of Rs126 million fine was collected from motorists for violation of the traffic rules in Peshawar. The official said that action was taken against 1,63,422 people for violation of Covid SOPs while tickets were issued to 22 people for not having parking in plazas. The CTO said police officials have been directed to accelerate actions against the traffic violators as well those involved in encroachments and not providing space for parking.

Wardens asked to check violation of traffic rules - Newspaper

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief Dr Sanaullah Abbasi has asked the traffic wardens to ensure implementation of the laws to curb traffic rules’ violation on the roads. He also praised the wardens and officers for performing their duties with dedication during the pandemic and creating awareness among the people about the importance of adhering to the standard operating procedures against Covid-19. He was speaking at a certificate distribution ceremony held at the Malik Mohammad Saad Shaheed police lines here on Wednesday. Dr Abbasi distributed cash prizes and commendation certificates among the officers and traffic wardens for maintaining order on the city roads.
