Officer Michael Crain entered the church hasnt ons of Police Officers from across Southern California church. Hundreds of Police Officers from across Southern California attended the funeral. Christopher dorner shot and killed crain in an ambush last week. I really did not realize the sheer scale of this and how many people are touched by his life. Reporter Police Believe 33 yearold dorner was the man found inside a charred cabin near big bear but have not confirmed it yet. Until then police will continue to provide security for some of the officers and families who dorner threatened to kill. The week long search for dorner ended with an intense four hour shootout at the cabin. Cbs reporter carter evans was caught in the middle of it. Morning. One involved a police officer, believe it or not, a single vehicle accident as well at that on the northbound side of 295 on the ramp to the 11th street bridge. I just got off the phone with police there. And they say that the vehicle is still there. Its in the right lane. Theyre just waiting on a tow truck and its been there since 3 06 this morning. Then another single vehicle accident. Its not the same car. Its just the same icon on the northbound side of the bw parkway ramp to eastbound route 50 right here. That one involves a car that hit the guardrail. He was trying to get away from a traffic stop and didnt make it. So that ramp is blocked. A ban on large capacity magazines he said may have injured the gunman from taking his wifes life when he took six drives. When he tried to reload, he dropped the magazine and a woman grabbed it and it gave bystanders a time to tackle him. Reporter republican Lindsay Lindsey graham offered a counter example of a woman running out of bullets defending herself. Some Democratic Senators have introduced legislation to ban high capacity magazines and assault style weapons, expanding background checks also up for debate. Parade. The girls godfather said she had dreams of becoming a doctor or a lawyer. Police say theres no indication she was the intended target of this shooting. They say someone just opened fire on a group of students who just had gotten out of school. Tears in this family and the pain etched in their face is unacceptable to everybody in chicago. This is sandy hook. Shooting happened a few blocks from the teenagers school kaine college prep. Hundreds of residents in newtown, connecticut, took part in a public hearing last night. Its part of a push to call for increased gun control legislation in the state. A Bipartisan Group from the States Legislature is considering policy changes after the shooting at an Elementary School which left 26 people, including 20 first graders dead.
