317 new COVID-19 cases, 23 new deaths Tuesday in Mississippi
There were 56 new cases and 2 new deaths reported in South Mississippi on Tuesday.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLOX) - In Mississippi, there were 70 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths reported Tuesday in the entire state.
As of April 12, MSDH reported 56 new cases and two new deaths for the six southernmost counties.
The new cases were in Harrison County (17), Jackson County (19), Pearl River County (8), George County (3), and Hancock County (7), and Stone County (2).
In the six southernmost counties, one new death was reported in Pearl River County that occurred between April 9-11. An additional death in Pearl River County that occurred between Feb. 3 and April 7 was also identified through death certificate reports.

There were 8 new cases and no new deaths reported in South Mississippi on Monday.

As of April 9, MSDH reported 28 new cases and two new deaths for the six southernmost counties.
The new cases were in Harrison County (10), Jackson County (5), Stone County (5), Pearl River County (4), and Hancock County (4). No new cases were reported in George County.

As of April 8, MSDH reported 40 new cases and no new deaths for the six southernmost counties.
