JACKSON, Miss. (WLOX) - In Mississippi, there were 731 new cases of COVID-19 and 25 new deaths reported Friday in the entire state.
On Feb. 26, MSDH reported 137 new cases and four new deaths for the six southernmost counties.

New cases were identified in Harrison County (57), Jackson County (32), Pearl River County (22), Hancock County (17), George County (5), and Stone County (4).
Between Feb. 22-24, one new death in the six southernmost counties of Mississippi was reported in Harrison County (1). Additional new deaths that occurred between Dec. 28 and Feb. 17 that were identified through death certificate reports were also reported in Hancock County (1) and Jackson County (2).
