month will open this morning and welcome students back to school. tomas ramn is there with a promise kept. it has been kept. five weeks ago there wasn t a whole lot of hope for the school to reopen on time but because of fund-raising efforts, schools will begin today when it s supposed to right on time. the prior to here in trace elementary july 5th caused an estimated $10 million in damage. fire declared arson destroyed the main building and consumed thousands of books in the campus library that contained years of work. it took a toll the parents and teachers. those parents begin a fund-raising drive that raised more than thousand dollars. it s not only that someone started the fire but the school did not have fire sprinklers in any one of 16 classrooms. school officials say it could take up to two years to rebuild the school. now when they rebuild the school, parents, teachers and a lot of school administrators are asking the new building be equipped with fire sprinkl
