The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has stated that the Saturday’s governorship election in Imo State is unnecessary because the widespread violence has already planted fear in the electorates and the results of the election may not change anything. This was stated by The NLC Head of International Relations, Uchenna Ekwe, in an interview on Channels TV on Wednesday. According to Ekwe, the Imo people have been afflicted by violence, and the election would produce nothing.
