Harrison Hornery scored 14 points off the bench and Southern Cal breezed to an 82-54 victory over Oregon State on Saturday. Hornery missed both of his 3-point attempts but hit all five tries from inside the arc for the Trojans (9-13, 3-8 Pac-12 Conference). Oziyah Sellers and reserves DJ Rodman and Kijani Wright all scored 12 for USC.
JuJu Watkins pulled up from long range and hit contested 3-pointers. The sensational freshman scored a Southern California-record 51 points — the most in major NCAA women's basketball this season — and the 15th-ranked Trojans upset No. 4 Stanford 67-58 on Friday night. Watkins hit a key 3 with 3:10 remaining and four free throws over the final 18 seconds to break the previous USC scoring mark of 50 set by Cherie Nelson against California on March 11, 1989.
Dylan Andrews scored 20 points, including 12 points during the pivotal first half, Lazar Stefanovic added 17 and UCLA defeated Southern California 65-50 Saturday night in a meeting of crosstown rivals having disappointing seasons. The Bruins (9-11, 4-5 Pac-12) won for the first time on USC's home court since 2018 to snap a five-game losing streak. Adem Bona had 10 points and 10 rebounds for UCLA, which won despite shooting 35.7% from the floor for the game.
JuJu Watkins scored 29 points with seven rebounds, three steals and three blocks and No. 11 USC held off Washington State 70-62 on Friday night. McKenzie Forbes added 22 points for the Trojans (14-3, 4-3 Pac-12 Conference), who ended a two-game losing streak. Watkins, a freshman who missed one game this season, has led USC in scoring in every game she has played.
