Pop Isaacs scored 19 points and put 23rd-ranked Texas Tech ahead to stay with a three-point play with 39 seconds remaining as the Red Raiders rallied from a double-digit deficit and beat TCU 82-81 on Tuesday night. Texas Tech (19-7, 8-5 Big 12) trailed 69-59 with 6:55 left. Isaacs scored nine of his points after that, including two free throws with 12 seconds left.
Ryan Langborg scored 26 points, Matt Nicholson and Nick Martinelli had double-doubles and Northwestern held off a furious Indiana rally to defeat the Hoosiers 76-72 on Sunday. Indiana scored 12 of those points, the last three coming on a jumper by Mackenzie Mgbako that made it 75-72 with nine seconds left. With five seconds left, Brooks Barnhizer made one of two free throws for a four-point Northwestern lead and Indiana's Anthony Leal missed a 3-pointer as time expired.
Harrison Hornery scored 14 points off the bench and Southern Cal breezed to an 82-54 victory over Oregon State on Saturday. Hornery missed both of his 3-point attempts but hit all five tries from inside the arc for the Trojans (9-13, 3-8 Pac-12 Conference). Oziyah Sellers and reserves DJ Rodman and Kijani Wright all scored 12 for USC.
Carlton Carrington scored 24 points, Ishmael Leggett added 22 and Pittsburgh rallied to beat Wake Forest 77-72 on Wednesday night. Pitt trailed by as many as 12 points early in the second half, and tied it three times before Carrington's two free throws gave the Panthers their first lead of the game, 57-55, with 6:58 remaining. Hunter Sallis hit a jumper for Wake Forest to tie it 57-all.
Donovan Mitchell scored 20 of his 45 points in the fourth quarter, Darius Garland had 19 points in his return from a broken jaw and the Cleveland Cavaliers held off the NBA-worst Detroit Pistons 128-121 on Wednesday night. Jarrett Allen had 14 points and 11 rebounds for his franchise-record 16th straight double-double and Isaac Okoro added 14 points for the Cavaliers. Cleveland won for the 11th time in 12 games and has the best record in the league since Dec. 16 at 16-4.
