i mean, it s a little bit comical. everybody who s ever met me can tell you i love all people, i love all cultures. you can tell by my past and all of my travels and adventures around the world. i was actually planning a road trip through africa when this happened. penny also opens up about the death of jordan neely saying, quote, i m deeply saddened by the loss of life. it s tragic what happened to him. hopefully, we can change the system that so desperately failed us. joe, i think i want to start with you here. okay. you have some experience traveling through the city. yes. as do many new yorkers who have been on the subway. your thoughts on this, on what neely has said or on what penny has said about the death of neely. penny s words are important, obviously, but it s the witnesses. those words are even more important. his lawyer is saying, and you re going to see video around this as well, that time and again during whole incident neely wasn t trying to kill a
violence that s going on there and the terror that was going on, that s his word, terror, that was going on in that car in realtime. he didn t seek this, nobody was seeking this. nobody wanted this to happen. but you have somebody who evidently, at least on the surface from the limited information we have, has a mental health issue and is going ballistic in that car. people were in danger, and he needed to subdue that danger in realtime. and that s the type of he ric thing you want to be sitting next to that person in that car at that time. again, a tragic ending, but he, i think, is taking the right approach. unfortunately, do have to fight this a little bit in the media because it is getting so much attention. i don t think he wants to be dealing with this. he seems like a patriotic, good-hearted guy, served his nation. everything in his record shows that he s patriotic in everything that he does. and, you know, i hope concern and i saw mayor adams actually address this.
