Summits & Horizons Join us for Adventure Crew’s signature fall fundraising event, Summits & Horizons! The keynote speaker will be Isaiah Scott of @IkesBirdingHikes, a rising leader in ornithology and environmental justice and a student of environmental conservation at Cornell University. Attendees will also hear from Adventure Crew teens about how their experiences in nature are shaping their future paths, and from Executive Director Libby Hunter about Adventure Crew's upcoming plans. The night will kick off with a welcome hour and drinks at 5 p.m., with the program beginning at 6 p.m. A reception with food and drinks will follow.
Heartbreak Tree: An Evening with Pauletta Hansel Launch party for Pauletta Hansel’s Heartbreak Tree, a poetic exploration of the intersection of gender and place in Appalachia. Heartbreak Tree is “the breakout work of a lifetime, a work of breaking silences and ancestral truth telling.” Pauletta Hansel was Cincinnati’s first Poet Laureate and is the 2022 Writer-in-Residence for The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, event co-sponsor. The book will be available for sale & signing at the in-person event; virtual attendance via Crowdcast is also available. The evening is free and open to the public. Registration required.
