In the first results of the merged entity after the amalgamation of its parent HDFC Ltd into the lender, HDFC Bank reported a net profit of Rs 15,976 crore on a standalone basis.
After providing Rs 2,802 crore for tax, the reported profit after tax stood at Rs 11,814 crore, against Rs 10,042 crore in the previous year, representing a growth of 18 percent.
The mortgage lender's revenue from operations increased 13.5 per cent to Rs 13,240 crore in the quarter under review as against Rs 11,657 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
The total revenue from operations increased 5 per cent to Rs 12,300 crore in the quarter under review as against Rs 11,697 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
