Falmouth police hoped to charge this guy with attempted murder denied by the court but he does face six serious charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. That weapon suspected heroin. 38yearold russel pena of falmouth allegedly attacked two Police Officers after a drug bust by tossing hidden heroin at them will bag of narcotics from his anal cavity and assaulted two officers with the narcotics. If my years of 38 years in service, i have never heard of a suspect throwing drugs on to an officer. Reporter the chief says one of his officers got into a scuffle with pena as he was being processed after arrest. They had taken this mugshot. He was not handcuffed.
