Hayatabad sector going sans water supply
July 9, 2021
PESHAWAR: Water scarcity in the F 3/1 sector of Phase-6 of the posh Hayatabad Township has made life miserable for the people while the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has turned a deaf ear to the issue.
The lone tubewell of the area developed some fault about four days back which could not be repaired so far.
Alternative arrangements for water supply could also not be made. If one walks through the streets of the sector, he can see people of all ages carrying water-cans in hands and searching for water. The young people turn to the mosque in search of water but return disappointed as water to the mosque is also supplied from the same tube-well which has gone out of order. Thus the mosque also does not have water for the ablution of the people and even for drinking purposes.
