Hattie Jane’s Creamery
Hattie Jane s has developed a strong following with its Columbia and Murfreesboro locations, but the Assembly Food Hall shop will be its first in Nashville. The small-batch creamery has a menu full of frosty takes on Southern classics, from peach cobbler and banana pudding to Nashville s infamous Goo Goo Cluster candy.
Hōru Sushi Kitchen
Hōru Sushi Kitchen is one of a few concepts coming to Assembly from its Dallas, Texas sister property, Legacy Food Hall. Dallas chef Chin Steve Liang founded the original location there in September 2019, and the menu offers sushi rolls, sashmi, bento meals and more.
Dallas-based fast-casual concept Velvet Taco will open downtown at Fifth + Broadwayâs Assembly Food Hall by Mayâs end.
The eatery, which bills itself as offering gourmet tacos, will be joined by a second Velvet Taco in Midtown this fall. The release does not note the specific Midtown location, but
Nashville Business Journal reported last October it will go to 1911 Broadway, which previously featured a since-razed building home to Rack Room and Blue Bar.
The Assembly Food Hall Velvet Taco will offer a menu of tacos on handmade tortillas (including chicken and waffles, spicy tikka chicken, Nashville hot tofu and beer battered cauliflower) sides and scratch-made red velvet cake. In-house created items include slow-roasted rotisserie chicken and pickles.

Photo: www.assemblyfoodhall.comAfter spending more than four years rising from the ground at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway in the location previously home to the Nashville Convention Center, the enormous Fifth + Broadway commercial and residential complex is finally about ready for its closeup. Taking up a major portion of the hundreds of thousands of square feet under its roof is the nation’s largest food hall Assembly Food Hall, to be specific, which is preparing to open its North Hall on Thursday, March 4. Nashville eaters have a lot to look forward to.

Culture + Co., a cheese, charcuterie and wine-focused restaurant, will open by month’s end at L&L Market in West Nashville.
Jacqueline Palladino and Ashton Judy (mother and daughter, respectively) are co-owners of the restaurant, which also will offer craft beer, sandwiches, salads and dessert. Judy will serve as the general manager, with Palladino to handle chef duties. According to a release, the focal point of Culture + Co. is a moving conveyor belt from which customers can choose items. It is being billed as the only cheese and charcuterie conveyor belt in the country.
