Two Arrested On Multiple Felonies After Santa Clarita Traffic Stop
Two felony suspects, including one wanted man, were arrested in Santa Clarita Friday after a routine traffic stop.
Around 7:30 a.m. Friday, deputies patrolling the Old Road near Hasley Canyon Road in Castaic conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with several vehicle code violations, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“During (the) traffic stop, deputies contacted the occupants of the vehicle and learned the male adult driver did not have a valid driver’s license,” Arriaga said. “During investigation, deputies learned the male had several outstanding warrants.”
One Vehicle Overturned In 5 Freeway Crash In Castaic
One vehicle was on its roof following a traffic collision on the northbound I-5 Freeway in Castaic Sunday afternoon.
At 3 p.m., reports were received of a traffic collision with a vehicle overturned on an embankment on the northbound 5 Freeway just north of Hasley Canyon Road in Castaic, according to Dispatcher Olson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“There were no people trapped,” Olson said. “And we transported one to a local hospital.”
No other injuries were reported in relation to the collision as of Sunday afternoon.
