Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated abiding by health directives in Rangpur 107 RANGPUR, May 14, 2021 (BSS) – Eid-ul-Fitr, the greatest religious festivity of the Muslims, was celebrated here today with due religious solemnity amid favourable climatic conditions in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Earlier, the district administration, Rangpur City Corporation and Islamic Foundation took steps to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in the city and across the district abiding by the health directives in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Officials of the district administration and Islamic Foundation here said the Muslims offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers and munajats at around 6,000 mosques across the district especially seeking respite from the coronavirus pandemic for the humanity.

Preparations afoot to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in Rangpur 302 RANGPUR, May 13, 2021 (BSS) – All preparations have been completed to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, the greatest religious festivity of the Muslims, in the district tomorrow with due religious solemnity in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Officials at Rangpur Divisional Office of the Islamic Foundation today told BSS that Muslim devotees will offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at around 6,000 mosques across the district with due religious fervour. As per directives of the government, the Muslim devotees will offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at different mosques in the metropolis and across the district maintaining physical distance, wearing masks and abiding by the health directives.

200 pandemic affected hawkers get assistance in Rangpur 149 RANGPUR, May 3, 2021 (BSS) – The district administration today distributed cash money among 200 COVID-19 pandemic affected newspaper hawkers of Rangpur as a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to assist them in tackling the situation. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Asib Ahsan distributed Taka 500 among each of the 200 newspaper hawkers in a function arranged on Zila School ground in the afternoon strictly abiding by the health directives. On the occasions, the DC called upon the newspaper hawkers to regularly wash hands, use masks and maintain cleanliness and abiding by the health directives to prevent further spread of coronavirus for safety of their own and others.

170 transgender people, 400 workers get money in Rangpur 223 RANGPUR, April 30, 2021 (BSS) – The district administration distributed money among 105 transgender people and 400 rickshaw-van pullers as gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to stand beside them during the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Asib Ahsan distributed Taka 500 among each of the 170 transgender people and 400 rickshaw-van pullers at two separate functions arranged on Zilla School ground abiding by the health directives during the past two days. On the occasions, the DC urged transgender people and rickshaw-van pullers to regularly wash hands, use masks, maintain cleanliness and abiding by the health directives to prevent further spread of coronavirus for safety of their own and others.
