i am lived about what happened. when i came out here on this stage and told the public what happened, it was a recitation of what people in that room told me, whether it be law enforcement officials or non-law enforcement officials. whatever the case may be. and, as everybody has learned, the information that i was given turned out in part to be inaccurate. and i m absolutely lived. about that. lawrence: yeah, me too, governor. i gave them the benefit of the doubt, too. the governor s statement comes just hours after today s press conference by the texas department of public safety. they gave us some answers starting with how the shooter was able to enter the school so easily. turned out the back door he used to get in wasn t only unlocked, it was wide open. we know from video evidence 11:27, the exterior door suspected of what the where we n.i.e. knew the shooter entered, ramos, was propped open by a teacher. 11:28 the suspect vehicle crashes into the ditch as previous
Legacy in living part of our history . A great chicken of the Roosevelt Legacy and of one of my favorite actors, Frances Perkins. Small family, committed family of roosevelts. I am a newbie in this world. I have been welcomed warmly. I appreciate that. But there are a few who have been more dedicated and more thoughtful in their writings about it. Much that hadwhen seemed secure is coming unstuck, we need to remind yourselves of what that new deal legacy is, and how it came about in the first place. Understanding is history is crucial to preserving it. The impact of disregarding our history, the disease we are painfully aware has afflicted us at the highest levels, can seriously undermine the foundations of the new deal , as of other institutions that were created after circumstances that now threatened. We are fortunate to have the grandchildren of the leaders and
That book came out in 2005 and i have been talking and thinking about and right writing about roosevelt and stalin for ten years and this book is a result of all i learned. This book roosevelt and stalin portrait of a partnership is really roosevelts book. It is about how roosevelt went about winning the war organizing the postworld war world, and making stalin and churchhill fit in with his plans. They were both a tough sell. What is notable, though is how we kept changing stalins mind. I thought i might find the opposite. But what i found essentially was that stalin did his bidding. We think of world war ii as the last good war and have woven myths about it. It is hard to be objectible. How many have visited omaha beach . That is unusual. Usually like half of audience has. The reason i ask is because americans tend to think we all tend to think we beat hitler and the german army mostly by ourselves. But we didnt. It turned out the russians killed about 90 , 4. 7 million german soldie
