Local environmental entrepreneur Ben Dobson, a Simon's Rock class of 2000 graduate and a local environmental entrepreneur, was the featured speaker for the first in-person commencement at the school in three years.

Harold had a long and productive career as an academic, making contributions to areas including topology, neural networks, and fractal geometry. He was passionate about education and mentoring, and continued to teach and spend time with students until his last week of life.
