The Victorian government is internally preparing to lift its lockdown restrictions on Thursday, after a five-day disruption that business groups estimate has cost âwell north of $1 billionâ.
Business groups are calling for support within the next 24 hours, after the state recorded just two new community cases on Tuesday.
The cases were family members linked to a private function on Sydney Road, Coburg, 10 days ago, who were already isolating, and were the countryâs only locally transmitted cases on Tuesday.
Melbourneâs third lockdown has proved too much for some businesses. Â
