Hermine is already bringing flooding rains to the Sunshine State and it hasnt even made landfall there yet. That wont happen until tomorrow night at the earliest. And it may be a hurricane by then. 51 counties are now under a state of emergency. Meteorologist adam joseph is monitoring hermines progress at this hour. Whats the latest . The latest just came in from the National Hurricane center and hermine continues to strengthen over the last several hours. Winds now sustained at 60 miles an hour. That is up from near 40mileanhour sustained winds early on today. The center of the storm is right about there. Low 80s and on track for the upper 80s this afternoon. The entire area will warm into the 80s, even at the shore. Most of interior new jersey warms to near 90 degrees. Mostly sunny skies for the suburbs, forc philadelphia, 89. The humidity lower than yesterday. And the temperature is a few degrees lower as well. 88 degrees in delaware today. Florida is bracing for Tropical Storm hermine and were watching the storms path and what it could bring us over the labor day weekend. Factorers say hermine is getting strength as it churns towards floridas gulf coast im jessica dean im Ukee Washington. More than 50 counties in florida are under a state of emergency. Good evening, we have the latest advisory in now as of 11 00 and hermine has strengthened, still Tropical Storm status but still a lot of activity going on. We still got to deal with tropical depression 8 moving out to sea a Still Producing strong rip current. We got to focus on hermine, that could impact us for the upcoming Holiday Weekend. You see some visibilities down below a half mile from toms river all the way down to dover, delaware. That should burn off after sunrise and then we transition to partly sunny skies through most of the day. Starting out warm. 73 degrees in philadelphia. Just 62 in allentown. And the dewpoints have crept back up especially right in the i95 corridor from about philadelphia up through trenton, these darker shades of green indicate that.
