Representatives from the International School Sport Federation met
with International Handball Federation officials to sign a Memorandum
of Understanding last month.
2022 has marked the complete return to a regular calendar in world handball, as the sport emerged from the confinements of the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the world, handball thrived and produced withstanding memories, with excellent games at the club and national team level in senior competitions.
During the past decade, the International Handball Federation (IHF) has made developing handball on all levels and throughout the globe a priority, especially at the youngest ages. In 2011, they launched a training and education programme for Physical Education teachers and coaches in schools across all continents called Handball at School (H@S).
Improving the sport and enhancing the image of handball in the United States of America has been one of the priorities of the International Handball Federation (IHF) over the past decade, as mechanisms were put in place to help boost the popularity of the sport throughout the country.
Handball has been continuously growing and developing throughout the world. The International Handball Federation (IHF) has both chimed in and lent a hand to help enhance this development, especially in countries where the tradition of the sport is just starting to be built.
