So apparently, Ji-woong s mother (played by Park Mi-hyeon)is dying. In terms of the overall narrative, Ji-woong s mother has never been an especially important character, except maybe by omission. We can see why Ji-woong was so envious of Woong s life, given that Ji-woong didn t have a loving family like Woong did. So Ji-woong is mostly indifferent to his mother s decline, with enough self-awareness to realize that this makes him sound borderline sociopathic, Our Beloved Summer, Ahn Dong-goo, Choi Wooshik, Kim Da-mi, Kim Sung-cheol, Kim Yoon-jin-I, Lee Na-eun-I, Park Mi-hyeon, Park Won-sang, Roh Jeong-eui
So Doctor Sin has been unveiled as the ultimate villain of "Bad and Crazy" who was once Yoon-ho, Inspector Ryoo s childhood friend with which the troubled kid made a murderous deal. "Bad and Crazy" kind of but doesn t really leave the door open to the theory I proposed in my last review, that Yoon-ho is actually yet another split personality of Inspector Ryoo. This episode I started entertaining a theory about the explanation of the mystery behind Inspector Ryoo s distorted memories. For a split second, the opening title of "Bad and Crazy" appears to read as Bad, Evil, Crazy. So I thought, what if K isn t the only split personality? What if this mysterious shadowy figure Inspector Ryoo is trailing is actually Inpsector Ryoo himself? Last time on "Our Beloved Summer" Woong had asked Yeon-soo, in the context of their restarting their romantic relationship, why she broke up with him five years ago. The episode ends with him asking that exact same question, again. He just includes more assurances that he won t be mad and is simply dedicated to knowing everything that s going on with her.
