Hamilton Memorial Hospital Dropping Mask Requirement in Most Areas

The Hamilton Memorial Hospital District has announced that the hospital and their family clinics will no longer ask patients or visitors at their facilities to wear masks covering their nose, mouth, and chin unless they are exhibiting respiratory illness or symptoms similar to Covid-19 or the flu such as cough, runny nose, or sore throat. Masking will continue to be required in particular patient care areas of the Hamilton Memorial Hospital District Facilities. Those locations according to hospital officials will be clearly marked. Officials with Hamilton Memorial Hospital will continue to monitor the presence of the flu and Covid-19 throughout the community and will modify their masking policy practices accordingly.

The annual Wayne City Bean Days celebration gets underway this weekend and runs through next Saturday, September 24th. Activities are set to take place this Thursday and Friday nights starting at 6 p.m. with a full day of activities this Saturday the 24th. The Fairfield Fall Fun Fest kicks off tonight with the Roasted Chestnuts, sponsored by the Wayne County Press, on the main stage at 6pm. At 7 it's Church Night Gospel Music, sponsored by Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home.
