Marion student earns scholarship from Ohio Wesleyan University
DELAWARE - Haleigh Stover of Marion is one of 10 incoming, first-year students at Ohio Wesleyan University this fall to earn a Choose Ohio First scholarship.
The scholarships will support Stover and the other recipients in pursuing their bachelor s degrees in the STEM fields of science (including medicine), technology, engineering, and mathematics. Stover plans to major in genetics and music performance.

Marion DAR chapter honors local youth
MARION - The Captain William Hendricks Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Marion recently held its annual youth recognition. These contests and awards were begun to develop the qualities of leadership, dependability, service and patriotism in youth and in the younger members of our society.
The following youth were recognized: Jennifer McCleary, Outstanding Junior Member of the Captain William Hendricks Chapter; Haleigh Stover, Good Citizen winner at Harding High School; Dylon Jones, Mount Gilead High School, Chapter and District Winner of the Good Citizen Contest; McKenzie Temple, Good Citizen winner at Pleasant High School; Lillian Wagner, Good Citizen winner at River Valley High School; Camrie Meyers, Good Citizen winner at Cardington-Lincoln High School; Katie Caskey, Outstanding Cadet of the Army JROTC Unit at Harding High School; Jessica Fown, Good Citizen
