Temperatures are in the 50s and 60s and through our afternoon, we are looking at 70 in San Francisco, 76 in oakland, 90 in san jose and 92 for concord. Which will be 5 to grees above average. Reporter Governor Brown has said that the fire is quote very dangerous and spreading rapidly, saying that hes put in a state of emergency and hes stressing that residents need to evacuate immediately if ordered to do so. The thomas fire is burning 45,000 acres in los angeles county, the creek fire spreading into the hills of the san fernando valley. The ventura fire started last night near santa paula 60 miles northwest of downtown los angeles. The fire is being propelled by strong santa ana wind gusts. The flames spread quickly. Homes, a hospital, and other buildings in downtown ventura have burned. 27,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes. Crews are still battling the elements as well as the fires. There is active fire in this community. This is off of highway 33. Now we also ran into a firefighter some firefighters from fremont fire. There are about 1,000 firefighters on the fire lines including many from the bay area. And the firefighters say they are returning the favor. Of course a lot of firefighters just were up in Northern California in the bay area to help us with our north bay fires. Now bay area firefighters are down here. It is deja vu. I can tell you.
