Halebank parish councilor Kieran Reed A PARISH councillor has been convicted of a string of sex offences against a male police officer and two other men in Widnes. Kieran Reed, a member of Hale Bank Parish Council, was found guilty earlier today (Thursday) on two counts of sexual assault and one of attempted sexual assault in relation to offences he committed in August last year. During the two-day trial at South Cheshire Magistrates’ Court, the court was told how Reed, of Church Street, Widnes, had touched the thigh of an on-duty police officer after telling him he was ‘gorgeous’ and had a ‘lovely leg’. After being told to stop by the officer, Reed replied he was ‘only joking’.
