COLUMBIA, Mo. – An all-around game from Kansas led to a 4-3 upset over No. 18 Missouri on Tuesday evening inside the Mizzou Softball Stadium. From a solo home run via Ashlyn Anderson to precision pitching from starter Hailey Reed and the perfect save from Kasey Hamilton, the Jayhawks battled to victory over their second ranked opponent of the 2020-21 season. With today’s win, Kansas improves to 20-15 overall. Missouri now sits at double digit losses at 29-10. This is the first win for the Jayhawks over Mizzou since April 1, 2009 when KU took down the Tigers 4-1 in Lawrence. Reed commenced the game in the circle for the Jayhawks and notched the win to garner her seventh win of the season after going 5.1 innings. Hamilton pitched the final 1.2 innings and earned her second save this season.

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Redshirt junior Shelby Gayre and sophomore Ashlyn Anderson hit home runs and Angela Price recorded her first-career hit as the Jayhawks claimed a 7-3 victory over Kansas City on Saturday. The afternoon win secured the series for KU over the Roos. Following the victory, Kansas improves to 19-15 on the year as Kansas City falls to 18-15. KU’s Hailey Reed picked up the win in the circle improving to 6-2 this season after pitching 4.0 innings with three strikeouts. Kansas’ Kasey Hamilton pitched 2.2 innings of relief to earn her first save. The Jayhawks were fighting from behind after Kansas City scored one in the first inning.

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Redshirt junior Sydnee Ramsey and junior Morgyn Wynne each finished the night with two home runs as Kansas softball split doubleheader action against Kansas City on Friday, April 9. The Jayhawks took game one, 11-6, before dropping the evening clash, 8-6. With the results today, the Jayhawks move to 18-15 on the year as the Roos are 18-14. On the day, Kansas finished with 18 hits and 17 RBIs between the two games. The Jayhawks were led by Ramsey and Cheyenne Hornbuckle tallying three hits. Wynne led the team with five RBIs to move her season total to 41. Game One – Won 11-6

🥎 Kansas Drops Series to Top Ranked Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. – Redshirt-junior Sydnee Ramsey hit her fifth home run of the season as KU fell to No. 1 Oklahoma, 10-1, on Saturday afternoon at Marita Hynes Field. The Jayhawks drop to 17-14 on the season and 1-5 in Big 12 play. The Sooners improve to 28-0 overall and 6-0 in the Big 12. OU struck first with a run in the bottom of the first inning and tabbed another in the bottom of the second to take a 2-0 lead. The Sooners added four more in the third before KU was able to get on the board. After getting through the order, KU brought the top of the lineup to the plate in the top of the fourth. With a 1-0 count, Ramsey led off the inning with a solo-home run to cut down the Sooners lead, 6-1.
