The NCERT textbooks have included references to Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta in Class VI and VII and its shlokas in Sanskrit textbooks of classes XI and XII, the Lok Sabha was informed on Monday.
The former Lok Sabha Speaker and Union Minister Shivraj Patil on Thursday said that Lord Krishna taught jihad to Arjun and the concept of jihad is not just in Islam but also in Bhagavad Gita and in Christianity .
Bhagavad Gita teaches Jihad: Speaking at the launch of Congress veteran and former Union minister Mohsina Kidwai s biography, the former Lok Sabha Speaker and Union Minister Shivraj Patil stated that not only Islam but Gita also talks about Jihad.
