Utah football has long been known for its stellar running game tradition, and for good reason.

SALT LAKE CITY A week after Guy Holliday was dismissed as Utah s wide receiver coach after five seasons, the football program has already found his replacement.
Kyle Whittingham announced Monday morning the addition of Chad Bumphis, 31, as its newest coach. Bumphis previously worked with Utah as a graduate assistant in 2018 before being hired by Austin Peay as the team s wide receiver coach. Chad Bumphis is an excellent addition to our coaching staff, Whittingham said in a statement. We re very familiar with Chad from his year with us in 2018, and we re elated to be able to bring him back to Utah. A very successful wide receiver in his own right, he has an impressive ability to teach and to motivate his players and we look forward to having him join our staff.
