We asked Hexham Courant readers on Facebook to tell us their favourite cafés with outdoor seating areas. CAFFE GINEVRA, PRUDHOE John Patmore commented: “Easy this one. Caffe Ginevra Espresso Bars are amazing. Visit either one in Prudhoe and you will receive amazing service with lovely smiles, you will get the best coffee you have ever tried and their homemade cakes and ice cream take their shops to another level.” Lynn Liss and Laura Greene also said Caffe Ginevra was their favou-rite, with Laura commenting: “It has a lovely outdoor seating area which is a real sun trap. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the coffee is the best around. Also they make lush sandwiches and pizzas and their home made brownies are to die for!”

Arthur McGee DIY Prudhoe When we asked for your recommendations, one name that kept cropping up was Arthur McGee DIY in Prudhoe. Ruth Dance said the store has showed its class through lockdown, while Gillian Dickinson also praised them for keeping local residents supplied as well as them also offering a delivery service too. More positive comments followed, with Becca Irving saying: “Brilliant service and will always order anything they don’t have in stock. And now a Frenchic stockist (too!).”
