After nearly two months of disruptions at namaz sites, the Sanyukt Hindu Sangharsh Samiti has announced that it will conduct a Govardhan Puja at the Sector 12A prayer site on Friday.
The police had to cordon off the area after 70 to 80 protestors attempted to march towards the site where the Muslim community congregated, singing bhajans using a microphone and portable speaker.
A Muslim congregation offering Namaz on a piece of public land in Sector 47 of Gurugram has been under consistent attack from Bharat Mata Vahini, a Hindu fundamentalist outfit.
