Coffee table book on Guru Teg Bahadur released by PAU VC

423 Ludhiana: Punjab Agricultural University Vice-Chancellor Dr BS Dhillon released a coffee table book, “Spiritual Journey of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib”, authored by Punjab-based lawyer Harpreet Sandhu. The book has been compiled in collaboration with the Punjab Pollution Control Board and is dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur. Dr BS Dhillon said the book depicted the journey of Guru Teg Bahadur from his birth till martyrdom through pictorial visuals of historical gurdwaras. Session on direct-seeded rice technology The Skill Development Centre of the university organised an online training course on direct-seeded rice technology for farmers. 400-bed facility opens at Rakab Ganj Sahib today

New Delhi, May 9 The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) today said its Covid care facility at the Rakab Ganj Gurdwara would open tomorrow and have 400 beds to mark the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur. The facility will be equipped with oxygen concentrators and also have its own ambulances. No money will be charged from patients for medicines, oxygen or food. “The donations made by the ‘sangat’ (Sikh community) are sufficient,” said DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa at a press conference. Education Department announces series of competitions for schoolchildren

Amritsar, May 4 The state government has been organising a series of events throughout the year to mark the 400th birth centenary of Guru Teg Bahadur. Under the supervision of Jagtar Singh, Director, State Council of Education Research and Training, four educational competitions will be conducted at various schools across the state. The competitions will be conducted online under two categories i.e. for students of Class VI to VIII and Class IX to XII. Giving details, District Education Officer (Sec) Satinderbir Singh and District Education Officer (elementary) Sushil Kumar Tuli jointly said the competitions would be held at block, district and state level.
