Pipe bomb and Officials Say weapons were actually brought in by authorities. Action News Reporter jeff chirico is live at 35th district headquarters with the details, jeff . Then tire building had to be evacuated just after ten last night, 14 prisoners and 20 Staff Members had to leave after police found what they believed to be a pipe bomb in a bag. Action news obtained a photo of the device that Officials Say wasnt more than about 6 inches or so. It ended up here after authorities with the attorney generals Gun Violence Task force pick up a a man wanted for making a a straw purchase and then brought him here to the 35th for questioning. He told authorities an ak47 was buried somewhere in the northeast. Officers found the gun in the garbage bag and brought it back here and when they opened up the bag they discover the device.
