pressure. this is to me is like the potomac two step. he s going to just dance around a little bit and hope a new cycle changes. we can t allow that to happen. we ve got to continue to apply pressure. moms demand action. all of these other gun control groups need to be out there and active in put, pressure on these republicans. i know they re feeling the heat. we ve just got to keep applying that pressure. and what about these upsetting images in the aftermath of that raid down in mississippi, that workplace raid in mississippi by i.c.e. the white house, from what we understand is now directing i.c.e. to conduct more of these raids. what does that tell you? there s a level of inhumanity happening now and when they conduct these raids. and i say, why aren t you going after the businesses? there have only been a handful of businesses in the united states in the last couple of years that have been prosecuted. they want these workers to come and work and they want them in a
unique situation right now. and i don t want to suggest that we have any evidence that the pattern is going to change. and that legislative change will happen or political change more broadly will happen. but there are a few things about the situation that are unique. so one thing is that gun control groups are catching up with funding from wealthy doe nors like michael bloomberg, former mayor of new york. they are catching up to the nra and are putting democrats under a lot of pressure. and they re saying it s not enough anymore to lay this at the feet of mitch mcconnell. you have to go further. what s also unique is that we have all of the democratic candidates at this point unanimously stepping forward and saying that they support tighter restrictions on gun control. and so i think that those two things make it possible that you could potentially shake something loose. at the very least, i think that when you have these several mass shootings that happen over the weekend, you have o
