Pensacola VA offers drive-thru COVID-19 vaccines by appointment only

The mass vaccination effort is intended to boost the number of vaccines delivered to veterans, according to Dr. M. With more than 75,000 registered veterans throughout the Gulf Coast, it is vital to maximize these efforts in order to minimize risk to our veterans at risk for exposure, he said in a news release announcing the drive-thru events. Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System s vaccination prioritization falls in line with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations and VA guidelines, which include veterans 65 or older, those in residential behavioral health facilities, caregiver support recipients, veterans with spinal cord issues and veterans in long-term care facilities.
