The contingent of KU students along with students of other participating universities was flagged off by the Lieutenant
A PhD student at Gujarat Vidyapith was expelled after he and his non-student friends were found consuming non-vegetarian food and alcohol in his hostel room. The university, founded by Mahatma Gandhi in 1920, maintains strict policies against non-vegetarian food and alcohol on its campus. Consumption of alchohol is prohibited in Gujarat.
