Gucci doubles down on pop-up strategy, launching one for Lunar New Year By Imogen Bailey | 5 February 2021 Gucci has rolled out a new Gucci Pin in celebration of its new Lunar New Year collection.  The Doraemon x Gucci collection, created to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year, features the famous Japanese manga and anime character, Doraemon – the cat-type robot sent from the 22nd century to help a young boy (Nobita Nobi). The pin complements the collection and helps to create an immersive experience for shoppers, Gucci said in a statement.  Crossing the magical pink Anywhere Door of the Doraemon x Gucci pins, visitors find themselves in an enchanted space, which blends the whimsical world of Gucci with elements inspired by the home of the Nobi family, highly recognisable for Doraemon’s fans.
