even in the library. let s go out front. good evening. i m erica hill, in tonight for erin burnett. out front tonight are all documents accounted for. that s the question tonight after a newly released court filing reveals the fbi s search of mar-a-lago last month recovered 48 empty folders marked as classified information. it s important to note we don t know what was in those folders. what we do know, they were empty, all four dozen of them. according to the seven-page inventory unsealed today they also found press clippings, clothes, gifts, 11,000 non-classified documents, 18 documents marked cop secret, 54 marked secret, and 31 documents marked confidential. there were also an additional 42 empty folders labeled return to staff secretary/military aide. now, keep in mind this trove is on top of the 15 boxes trump s team turned over in january. there were 184 classified documents in those boxes. the former president claims many of the documents are actually protected by e
edges up. we ll tell you why that might be good news for your wallet. plus, climate change washing away the flood maps. previously dry areas now under threat. has your home been pushed into a flood zone? hello, and welcome to the lead. i m kaitlan collins in for jake tapper. we start today with our politics lead, and a new detailed look inside what the fbi seized from former president trump s mar-a-lago home last month. a federal judge today unsealed a seven-page inventory of the highly sensitive government documents that trump had in his office and in his storage room, despite one of his lawyers telling the government they had given everything back. mixed in with newspaper clippings, clothes, and gifts, fbi agents found more than 11,000 nonclassified government documents, and more than 100 classified documents. 31 of those marked confidential, 54 marked secret, and 18 marked top secret. plus, 90 empty folders, 48 marked classified. and 42 of those labeled, quote, retur
before headed to the steps of the supreme court. the supreme court s initial ruling could be released in weeks. a new reality awaits if the opinion doesn t change. there are 13 states with trigger states that would indicate near total ban on abortion. and 23 states have laws that would create major limits. shimon prokupecz is in washington and polo sandoval is new york for us right now. shimon, what are the activists telling you? what are you hearing so far? reporter: most of them out here just saying that they want to keep fighting despite this leaked draft opinion. they re not giving up hope. they think that things can change and they can perhaps prevent the supreme court from issuing a final ruling that would obviously overturn roe. that is certainly on the top of minds of many of the people here. concern being that this ruling, should it stand, should this draft become the actual decision of the court, it would affect underserved communities, poor communities mostly and
