The writing has been on the wall for Groove Music for quite some time now, with Microsoft having resurrected Media Player as a replacement in Windows 11.
The new Windows 11 Media Player, which was previously only available to Insiders, is slowly rolling out to all Windows 10 users. This will replace the not-so-popular Groove Music on Windows 10.
Microsoft has backported another Windows 11 app to Windows 10. The updated Windows Media Player (do not confuse it with the classic WMP) is now available for download in the Release Preview Channel.
