Sheriff s department needs help identifying Griffin Elementary burglar

The Ledger LAKELAND The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to track down a white male who broke into a pre-kindergarten classroom at Griffin Elementary School and did at least $1,500 in damage to the building, including windows and doors.  The Sheriff s Office said that on March 5 at 8:20 p.m., the suspect burglarized a Pre-K classroom portable at the school in unincorporated Lakeland. When he broke into the classroom, he caused substantial damage to the building. The suspect is a white male, possibly in his 30s, with short brown hair. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt with some sort of graphic on the front, black shorts with an orange stripe on the pant, and black and white Nike sneakers.

The victim told deputies that Jamie Collazo Gonzalez grabbed her by the neck and pushed her, authorities said. The victim was not injured. The suspect told deputies that he is employed by Griffin Elementary School in Lakeland as a custodian.
