THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE PRISON FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF ACTING COMMISSIONER JOHN MITCHELL AND HIS TEAM MUST BE COMMENDED.
Her Majesty’s Prison, which falls under the Ministry of National Security, has three main priorities; the safety of staff, inmates and visitors; the training of officers and the rehabilitation of inmates; and the fostering of community awareness.
It is believed that by accomplishing these goals, the country will be kept safe and secure. For instance, securing and rehabilitating prison inmates will make them an asset to society when they return to it.
