Late Night Blaze At New Rideau Restaurant Under Investigation SHARE ON: (Photo courtesy Ottawa Fire Services) Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that took place at a restaurant just north of the Rideau River. North Grenville firefighters were called to assist Ottawa Fire Services with the blaze last night after Ottawa received a 911 call from a neighbour who reported smoke and flames coming from the New Rideau Restaurant in Beckett’s Landing.  Firefighters were on scene at 10:55 p.m. and confirmed flames had extended through the roof and were threatening to spread to several large propane tanks nearby.
