Print article A 31-year-old man was sentenced this week to 99 years in prison for killing the owner of an Anchorage paint shop in 2017, state prosecutors said Friday. Randall Igou, who was charged in 65-year-old Gregory Gill’s death, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in November. Surveillance footage showed Igou entering Aurora Paint Co. early the morning of Sept. 10, 2017; within two minutes, Gill had been fatally shot and the footage showed Igou walking out of the business with a cash box and Gill’s car keys, according to charging documents filed in the case. He drove away in Gill’s car and was arrested the next day after running into Cheney Lake while being pursued by officers.

The strength of conservatism in Wisconsin has always rested in its grassroots, particularly in the WOW Counties, and last night once again proved its strength when it is well-organized and motivated.
Superintendent
While liberal Jill Underly easily won the State Superintendent race, this was no surprise. No teachers union-backed candidate has lost this race in at least 20 years, and her allies dumped more money in support of her and against her opponent than had ever been spent in total on a Superintendent election.
In addition, her opponent Brown Deer Superintendent Deborah Kerr was no conservative. She is a partisan Democrat who recognized that she needed to move to the right in the general election in order to have any prayer of winning. This was so odious to her and her core supporters that her campaign manager actually quit instead of daring to court conservative votes.

APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) The case of a boy originally charged in adult court with attempted homicide for a Grand Chute shooting has been moved to juvenile court.
The teen who was 13 at the time of the incident, but is now 14 faces counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and attempted armed robbery for the Aug. 25 incident.
In Wisconsin, those ages 10 and older charged with homicide-related counts start in adult court, but there is a mechanism, as used in this case, for the defense to request to have the case moved to juvenile court under certain circumstances. Once there, suspects are not to be identified publicly, per state law.
