Greenwood announces food truck pilot program

Courtesy-Greenwood FB page GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Greenwood Parks and Recreation Department and Greenwood Parks Foundation are partnering to bring food trucks to Old City Park starting later this month. The Greenwood Board of Public Works and Safety approved the pilot program during its meeting Monday afternoon. Food trucks will be located at Old City Park, along Meridian Street, on Fridays and Saturdays, from 5 to 9 p.m., starting May 21 and running through the end of October. They will be parked parallel to the bocce ball courts and shelter house. “We believe this program will enhance Old City Park visitors’ recreational experience and also support local restaurants and small businesses,” said Parks and Rec Director Rob Taggart. “If successful, we hope to expand the program, cultivating relationships with vendors and garnering feedback from residents.”
