Dismiss Normal text size Advertisement State and federal MPs have joined staff and supporters of an inner-Brisbane bowls club-turned-music venue and community space, calling on the council to scrap plans to bulldoze the site under its latest vision to redevelop the surrounding heritage park. The former East Brisbane Bowls Club building and greens are located within the state heritage-listed Mowbray Park off Lytton Road but are not recognised as having heritage significance themselves. The site has been slated for demolition to create what the council describes as new open green space under the park plan.
