Four would-be thieves tossed tools of their illegal trade from a car during a 90mph police chase after travelling 100 miles from West Yorkshire on a criminal expedition.

MR MICHAEL LEE HORNSBY, 29 of HMP Durham in Durham was committed to prison for 20 weeks after two cases of trespassing with an intent to steal and damaging a door to the value of £1,000 belonging to New Walk CIC. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £90 to victim services.
