Demand for quality racehorses, led by the sale of a Curlin colt for $900,000, fueled another day of positive results as the Keeneland September Yearling Sale resumed Saturday following a one-day hiatus.
Greg and Karen Frink with Greenfield Farms donated nearly 400 pounds of ground beef to the MO Beef MO Kids MO Fit program benefiting the Fayette School District.
According to the University of Missouri Howard County Extension Office, the school received 376 pounds of ground beef, equaling 2,632 servings.
To date, Fayette and Glasgow School Districts have received a total of 2,244 pounds, equaling 15,708 servings of locally-raised beef.
Other donors include, Steve Diehls, Ron McBee and Randy and Danny Kircher.
