Back ALBANY — New York’s corrections officers union filed suit Monday to overturn a new state law that will restrict the use of solitary confinement to punish incarcerated people in the state’s prison system. The state Correctional Officers & Police Benevolent Association filed a federal lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Albany on Monday against the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Gov.
