Thirteen suburban chambers of commerce and 10 food pantries are uniting Tuesday for a luncheon to discuss the fight against food insecurity in the suburbs.
Itasca Bank & Trust Co. and the brothers behind it, Jack E. Mensching and James R. Mensching, are featured in the next "Leaders and Legacies: Stories of Local Impact," an ongoing series brought to you in partnership with DuPage Foundation and the Daily Herald.
Itasca Bank & Trust Co. is celebrating their 75th anniversary this year and have focused on giving back to their community with an effort to fight local food insecurity.

She s always been there to sustain us, and she s been a source of comfort and peace especially during the pandemic, when outdoor pursuits such as gardening, hiking and biking helped keep us sane.
Earth Day is Thursday, April 22, and there are plenty of local events celebrations, concerts, educational programs, cleanups, workdays, recycling to mark the occasion.
