This year’s theme will be Battle of the Decades. UWF alumni are encouraged to make a donation for the decade they graduated in. Each decade’s progress will be displayed throughout the day on UWF’s Day of Giving website. UWF supporters who are not alumni are encouraged to support the decade when they first got involved with UWF such as when they visited the UWF campus, attended a UWF event or when they made their first gift to support the university. For each gift of $30 or more, participants will receive a pair of exclusive Argo print socks.
Argos and friends are encouraged to invite others to give and spread awareness of the initiative online using #UWFDayofGiving.

Sindel announced her resignation from the volunteer position during an Escambia County Commission public form.
She said Escambia County needs an overall strategic plan economic growth that would including funding new, and improving existing, infrastructure. She also commended commissioners for the numerous opportunities afforded to local citizens to offer their input into the planning.
“And now, it is time for another citizen to step up and continue the effort. I am offering my resignation 60 days from this evening, or earlier if a new board member is appointed. Thank you,” Sindell said before turning and walking out of commission chambers.

Navy Federal Credit Union has announced that Captain Keith Hoskins (USN Retired), has been named to the role of executive vice president, branch operations and Kara Cardona has been selected to serve as the new leader of Greater Pensacola Operations. Hoskins served as lead executive for Greater Pensacola Operations since April 2019.
“Keith Hoskins has been a tremendous leader for Greater Pensacola Operations,” said Debbie Calder, chief operating officer for Navy Federal. “Between that experience and his 27 years of service in the U.S. Navy, Keith truly understands our members. I’m confident he will help our growing branch team meet the evolving needs of our members around the world.”
